Red Rocks/Grand Canyon

Red Rocks National Conservation Area is just outside of Las Vegas, Nevada. As underwhelmed as I was with the Las Vegas strip, a visit to this area more than made up for any letdown. The mountains were made more dramatic by the approaching storm.

The Grand Canyon is breathtaking to behold as it is difficult even in a photograph to convey its enormity. Sunrise and sunset are definitely the times to visit the overlooks as they are less crowded and the shadows make for interesting contrast.
