I guess I have always been drawn to and fascinated by the image, from my childhood reading nature and animal magazines to my eventual career. The impact and truth that can be displayed from a static point in time is quite amazing. The ability to show the familiar in an unfamiliar way or to transport someone to a place they would otherwise never see can be powerful.

My primary photographic interest is landscape. Hiking to a place where you are surrounded by the vast expanse of nature is becoming a growing interest and passion, not only due to the surrounding beauty but for the perspective of one man’s place in a much larger world. I also enjoy night cityscapes much for the same reason, images of vibrant chaotic places that somehow seem to convey a sense of peace and beauty.
