Smokies & Blue Rdg
It had been nearly a quarter century since my last visit to the region but the beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway in peak autumn color reminded me of the attraction to this region for thousands of people. This region of eastern Tennessee and western North Carolina covers miles of tree lined mountains that burst into a variety of color in late October resulting in a photographer's dream. Mountains, rocky streams, hiking and beautiful scenery…do you really need anything more?
